Why do I want to get a goose tattoo?

Someone yesterday asked me:

“Why do you want to get a goose tattoo?”

My thoughts:

Is tattooing a goose on my ankle, courage or recklessness?

What is the importance of a tattoo?

Does it equal the importance of the skin?

Is that piece of tattooed skin so important?

Does it equal the importance of life?

Why do we think more for a tattoo than for a choice that puts us in danger of life?

For example, buying a very powerful motorcycle, able to secure us a place in the cemetery for the slightest mistake, is it considered courage or recklessness?

More or less than a tattoo?

More or less than a tattoo without a deep meaning?

But isn’t the meaninglessness of a tattoo itself a great meaning?

Why is so much importance given to unimportant things, such as a tattoo or a motorcycle?

At this point, what is the importance?

Is there something inherently important or is it just relativity?

As for the objects, one of the factors that give importance is the cost.

But what is the cost value for us?

It is clear that the value of the cost is given by our economic power and not by the cost. The truth is that the rarer something (objects, feelings, etc.) the more universally valued it is, but this is a topic that surely everyone knows. The value of a tattoo is, in reality, the value of what it represents.

Immediate return to the conversation:

“Why do you want to get a goose tattoo?”

“It’s hard to explain…”

My thoughts again:

It’s really that hard to explain or simply I’m not able to do that?

Could my explanation really convey the meaning of that tattoo?

Should I explain the thoughts related to that tattoo?

Are my thoughts really meaningful?

But most importantly, considering that the central theme is a goose tattoo, does it make more sense to write an article to justify a tattoo or to get a tattoo to support the article’s thesis?

Thank you for the attention.
